It wasn’t until the 2020 lockdown that I felt compelled to pick up my camera again.

Below is a couple photo series I put together during the pandemic. The first one, when music is masked - Los Angeles, 2020, was about capturing various music venue marquees throughout L.A. while they were shutdown for more than a year, some of them bounced back and come of them didn’t. I wanted to weave a story throughout so, I included my friend’s story of the last concert she went to right before the shutdown and what that experience was like. The second one, also taken during the 2020 lockdown, is a self-portrait series I did out in Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. I went during the fall/off-season when I knew it would be deserted and the flowers wouldn’t be in bloom. I wanted to find the beauty and stillness that comes when life is in a period of rejuvenation, preparing for rebirth.

Hopefully I’ll have some more to share soon!
